Established in Dec. 1986, Shanghai Gubei Group Corp., Ltd., former Shanghai Gubei New Area Development United Corporation, was reformed into the first corporation limited in Shanghai real estate system in Jan. 1994. Gubei Corporation in consisted of Zhonghua Co., Ltd. (holding share 87.5%) and New Changning group Co., Ltd. (holding share 12.5%) with the licensed capital of 209.3 million-yuan (RMB).

　　In charge of the development and construction for 136.6ha. of land in Gubei New Area, the corporation strives to make its plan and design a pioneer as well as rational layout. Up till now, the Corporation has completed land development of 52.3ha. and high-quality apartments of 600,000M² in modern Europen style. Gubei New Area in said to be the largest high standard residential quarter for overseas Chinese or those involved in joint-venture enterprises. This project was selected as one of the "Shanghai 90's Top Ten New Vistas" in 1995 and Living Quarter of Excellence in Shanghai in 1999 by public media and professional institutions, exerting wide and deep influence in Shanghai, even in China. Menanwhile, Gubei Group has also invested on real estate development ontside the New Area, suchsa Suzhou, Hainan, HongKong.

　　The Corporation has been identified as one of twelve key real estate enter-prises in Shanghai by authorized organizations. Possessing Grade A qualification of comprehensive real estate development firms, Gubei Corporation owns more than 10 subsidiaries of stock-controlling or shareholders, engaging in property management, commercial construction, cultural entertainment, leasing/selling agencies, site develoipments, capital management, holding and tenure management and so on.

　　In future development, the Corporation will stress the importance of planning and development of Zone I, II of Gubei New Area, in order to be the model of high-grade residential quarter. Based on the development of the New Area, Gubei Group in extending its business outside China, and has launched Gubei brand overseas. Meanwhile, Gubei Group is planning to extend into real estate related high-tech fields as new generatin pole in economy, so as to restructure the Corporation into a comprehensive group enterprise of management/investment.
